Avast! Antivirus is one of the most popular free programs
at download websites.
After using it myself for about a year my subscription from
another security program was about to expire.

I've tested Avast! 5.0 on both Windows XP and
Windows 7 with no problems.
For the extra concerned who want maximum protection,
I have been running Avast 5 along with Zone Alarm
and PC Tools Firewall - for testing I ran all 3 on
both Windows XP and 7.
